Dr. Michael Hampton has a strong background in research. He worked for several years in medical research before settling into optometry. From 1970 to 1976 he was a Research Associate for Dow Chemical Company, then from 1979 to 1981 he was Research Associate for Oklahoma Medical Research. In 1986 he started EyeCare Associates of Yukon, and in 2000 continuing his education, he became a laser surgeon affiliate with the Laser Eye Center of Oklahoma. He is one of the first optometrists to be certified to perform laser vision correction.
He received his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Oklahoma in 1970, Master of Science in Microbiology, University of Oklahoma in 1979 and Doctor of Optometry from Northeastern State University Tahlequah, Oklahoma in 1985.

I Grew up in Arkansas but have lived in Oklahoma for many years. My family and I enjoy the friendly small town atmosphere of Yukon. I have two daughters, Chelsea and Morgan with whom I enjoy spending my free time with. In Addition, I enjoy hunting , fishing and spending time at the lake.
